We are happy to have Fine Arts educators come in and add to the students’ school life on a weekly basis.
Music and Piano Lessons are available privately or in a group setting for an additional fee.
Music Lessons
Pre-K (3-4 yrs old) – This is a music & movement class. In this class we read scripture & learn bible songs to coincide with that days verses. There is a music bag required for this class, usually cost around $15, this is a one time purchase and lasts them for the year. It includes rhythm instruments such as claves, jingle bells & a shaker. It also includes a scarf & crayons. This is a group class & meets once a week for about 45 minutes.
Music for Little Mozarts (4-5 yrs old) – This is a music class focusing on rhythm & introduces the piano. It also teaches basic music theory lessons, like learning notes, rests & their values, as well as other musical terminology. It requires a one time purchase of 2 books, however there are extra items you can purchase which will be used in class (& at home) but they are optional. This is a group class & meets once a week for about 45 minutes.
Private Piano Instruction (5 & up) – This is one on one private piano instruction in 30 minute sessions once a week. This class requires a purchase of books that last quite a while before they would need the 2nd set. It depends on the student as to how quickly we cover the material. Which books required depends on their age & skill level, which could be anywhere from 2 to 4 books. This class focuses on learning music theory and learning to play the piano, the basis to all music. Private instruction is the most thorough as I can give 100% of myself to that one student.
Group Piano Instruction (5 & up) – This is a group class ranging from 2 to 4 students per class. This class requires a purchase of books. It depends on the level of that class as to which books would be required, which could be anywhere from 2 to 4 books. This class focuses on music theory and learning to play the piano, the basis to all music. This class meets once a week for about 45 minutes.
Costs
All group classes are $35/month. This is a discounted rate from my regular fees that I offer students of Spirit Life Learning Center.
Private instruction is $65/month. This is a discounted rate from my regular fees that I offer students of Spirit Life Learning Center.
